DOWNLOAD: Joell Ortiz - Covers the Classics (Mixtape)
Here’s the mixtape that seemed like it was hyped forever. In reality, I guess it wasn’t that long, but the concept had people itchin’ to hear it. I’ve been waiting to hear a big project from Joell at all, and OnSMASH delivered this evening. Here he is goin’ in on your favorite beats of all time. Now, I’d like to see that full length LP, which I’m hearing isn’t too far off.

If you haven’t heard the first Shawn Chrystopher mixtape “I wear glasses” you kind of missed out, but don’t worry here’s the second mixtape from this Cali rapper. Even though it has a lot of recycled beats, its not bad. The flow is there and the last mixtape was really good. Plus, he wears glasses, there’s nothing sexier than a rapper who wears glasses… but enough about that take a listen. I promise it will be worth your while.
P.S. peep the cover art its pretty hot.

DOWNLOAD: The Kid Daytona x Mick Boogie - The Daytona 500
Here’s the full mixtape. Daytona deserves a lot of credit for getting this out around 3 a.m. this morning, and not 3 a.m. tomorrow, which would fulfill the now standard day-late pass on mixtape releases. No shots at anyone.

DOWNLOAD: The Cool Kids x Don Cannon - Gone Fishing (Mixtape)
For how much I heard about this, and all the people involved, this thing sounded a lot more like an album with a budget, not a mixtape. But hey, I don’t think anyone’s complaining about it being online for free. I also found out soon after that an official LP is on its way very soon.
Everything here was produced by Don Cannon and the Cool Kids, as the title implies.

So I’m gonna go out on a limb with this one. I know we post a lot of hip hop on the site, so I think I’m gonna get in touch with the softer side of 2manymc’s with a little R&B and soul. Don’t write it off before you listen, because this woman is going places. Her album has a cool, chill vibe and it has a little bit of every thing for everyone, even the hardcore hip hop heads out there.

DOWNLOAD: It’s Notherground Music
6th Sense sent this over the other day, and I’m just gettin’ around to posting this as I sit in the middle of no where in Rhode Island. I’m ready for that 5 AM bus to roll around…
That’s irrelevant though. It’s Notherground Music is a compilation of all the actual songs that were featured on It’s a 6th Sense Beat Yo!! So if you hadn’t heard the original tracks, now you know.
I don’t have a tracklisting, but check the original 6th Sense beat-tape track-list, or to give you a preview:
“It’s Notherground Music!!” contains songs from Both Nice, 6th Sense, The Kid Daytona, Black ELement, Talib Kweli, Wildabeast, Jelani, Old Money, Outasight, Harlem’s Cash, Skyzoo, Emilio Rojas, A Pinks, Mekka Don, U-N-I, and more.

DOWNLOAD: Chester French Jacques Jams Vol.1
So, yesterday Chester French released their debut album Love the Future, which you can find on iTunes. I suggest you guys cop that because it is pretty much the shit. In the mean time before you get the album (which you will), here’s the mixtape, Chester French Jacques Jams Vol. 1. The mixtape has a lot of cameo’s on it including ones from my girls Solange and Janelle Monae. So it’s definitely worth listening to so enjoy.

DOWNLOAD: Mike Posner and The Brain Trust
This is a mixtape I have been bumpin’ a lot lately. It’s from Mike Posner, a fellow college student, on his grind at Duke University, all while doing his music thing. He has such a unique voice and that adds to the greatness of the mixtape. He also has a hot reply song to Halo that I think ya’ll might like.
